Alpha Media announced that Blender magazine has folded with its April issue. Blender launched in 2001 and covered cutting-edge trends across several musical genres, from new metal to rock to hip-hop and R&B. The magazine will continue as a digital destination, part of Maxim digital, which encompasses the Web sites for Maxim, Blender and Stuff Magazine. Joe Levy, Blender's editor in chief, has moved over to Maxim magazine, where he will serve as the editor in chief. He formerly served as the executive editor of Rolling Stone, as well as the music editor and assist ant managing editor for the magazine. He has also worked for Spin magazine and Details. Jay Woodruff has been named chief content officer for Maxim and most recently served as editor in chief of Maxim digital. Oh Yeah..Did I say they still have their online page going.
