Towards the end of the show Ryan spurted out phrases like, "They told me to stay off the stage. They said I couldn't Do this!" Well last night at SOB's Ryan Leslie was a the star he was always supposed to be. He commanded the stage and obtained a confident cool presence that many thought he didn't have. Besides an attention hungry Llyod that wouldn't let go of the mic, it was a close to perfect night. The act that preceded Ryan also had the crowd going bananas, Francis and the Lights. If you don't know who they are take Prince, Elvis, Jame Brown and sprinkle on a little hipster. Yup, that's Francis and the Lights. Ryan performed every song off his self titled album Ryan Leslie. I was always a fan but last night solidified it. The performance was perfect. All of the your favorite tracks on the album like Giberish and Quicksand worked flawlessly with the band. The vocals were on point and so was the salmon...Alltogether if you haven't cop'd his album yet, you know what to do.
I wish I could have made it! I am a Ryan Leslie fan too and heard his performance was great even in his pointed toe shoes and full atire he is known to wear... Thanks for the update. Monique D.- Break Space
